Moments with Danah

Danah’s Christmas Wishlist

Posted by: Sheenah on: December 10, 2010

Danah is too young to be wishing for Christmas so I’m making her a list based on her needs, wants and the things she still lacks. :)

Godparents and those who plan to give Danah something for Christmas, this list will definitely help.

1. Learning books – Danah now appreciates images like drawings and pictures. She needs learning books so we’ll have more to share to her during playtime and even before she sleeps at night. :)

I have no book titles in particular but Danah would love books with colorful pictures and drawings.

2. Hats - Danah has a few hats already, but adding some more would be awesome :) January and February are gonna be cold months so Danah will find it really useful if you could give her warm hats (knitted or thick ones) that can cover her ears. LIke me, Danah gets cold easily so these hats could be her weapon against the coming colder season.

We have no preference as for the design but we hope it’s not blue :)

3. Weaning materials – Danah might start eating solid food next month but as early as now we’re practicing her with her spoon and tumbler. Materials such as water-proof bibs, soft spoon, and bowl would be very helpful.

P.S. It need not be Avent but the brand will greatly be appreciated, hehehe. :)

4. MP3 Speakers - Danah is in need of a pair of speakers for her iPod. She loves music a lot and she now listens to educational albums and nursery rhymes. The pair need not be Altec Lansing but we’ll be happy if it is so. :)

5. High chair – this is a big part of her weaning stage. Danah needs a high chair even in her first year of age. It will also help her become independent in the future, by learning how to eat by herself.
The high chair will become her best ally since she will be using it a lot if she ever has one. :)
P.S. Foldable/portable high chair would be better.

6. Soft toys – every baby needs soft toys for safety. We are in deep search of soft toys that make sound (ie, hammer rattle with a bell inside) for distraction. Danah, like other babies, loves to put things inside her mouth and soft toys are safer than the hard ones.
Danah prefers red, green and blue, but pastel colors would also be useful.

7. Baby accessories – we haven’t bought Danah much accessories since we focused on her clothes, which is why she is now in need of stuff that could make her cuter: headbands, hats/head gears, etc. Please keep in mind that Danah is still follically-challenged so ponytails could be of no use yet.
She prefers pink/red and anything that could make her look like a baby girl. She has been mistaken as a baby boy in malls and public places. Let’s make her a cute baby girl. :)

8. Sailor dress - Dave and I actually think that sailor dresses are really, really cute. Danah has one but its not much of a navy dress since it’s cream in color and doesn’t have much emphasis on the ribbon. We are really searching for a good sailor dress but we couldn’t find any.
We love the sailor dress exactly as shown here but the dominantly blue over white color could also be awesome.
Danah’s size is for 6 months since she’s quite tall, but she isn’t chubby.

9. Warm clothes/frogsuits – as said earlier, January and February are gonna be cold months so Danah needs more warm clothes. Rompers or frogsuits are most welcome.
Her size is for 6 months but stretchable frogsuits for 4 months will be okay.
P.S. The pink frogsuit shown here is really cute. :)

.

.

10. Baby shoes – every shoe is unique for Danah, which is why it now becomes my collection for her. Since she now fits into her infant shoes, she will be cuter in them.
Danah’s size is ’1′ (for Chicco and other brands) but generally, the smallest infant shoes will mostly fit her).
Since we are not in Manila, you can just tell us if you’re giving something for Danah this Christmas and we’ll make a way. :)

Danah has been a nice girl. Santa, please grant the wishes, hihi! :)
